As a novice woodturner, I’m just starting to explore this craft. So far, I’ve attended three classes at the John C. Campbell Folk Art School: bowl turning, using a skew chisel, and making a pepper grinder with a funnel-style saltshaker. My work reflects my journey from creating Twig Pots to Lidded Bowls, experimenting with many techniques along the way. I use a pre-owned Powermatic 3520C lathe, and all my wood comes from fallen trees found on my own property
